God's Grace, the unmerited favor of God, is received,
not earned. We receive God's
Grace, His favor, the blessings
of God by resting in the finished work of Jesus
at the cross. We are to know that
we have been made righteous, not by our own efforts, but by what Jesus
did.
Inhibitors to the free flow of Grace to one or more
areas of out life:
- Not being Born Again.
This is a prerequisite.
- Not knowing, understanding our rights and
privileges as a child of God.
- Fear
- Doubting God
- Self reliance, self righteousness. The idea
that "I can handle this myself.".
We are to trust God's promises and rest in that trust,
be confident in the promises. Fear, sweat, worry, and self
righteousness (believing in our own abilities, our effort) will inhibit
the flow of Grace to our life. Grace may be flowing freely in many
areas of our life, because we are resting in those areas, trusting God.
So, we may be healthy, have good family relationships, etc., but we might
be worried about money. Grace is freely flowing to our bodies and
to our family relationships, but the free flow of Grace is being choked
off by our concerns about finances.
By pleading with God about money, we are squeezing the
pipeline that is carrying the Grace for finances. By our fear in
that area we are showing that we do not believe God's promises for
personal and family prosperity. Jesus is sending the flow of Grace
for prosperity, the power to get wealth, but that Grace is not being
received because we are squeezing the pipeline with our self efforts and
fear.

Corinthians 8:9
For you know the
Grace
of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He
became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.
In John 14 Jesus twice tells us to not let our heart
be troubled. He gave us the Comforter to help us remember what He
said.
1Let not your heart be
troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.....26But
the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my
name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your
remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. 27Peace
I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth,
give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be
afraid.
If you are not receiving God's Grace, His underserved
favor, we recommend quoting God's Word "Let not my heart be troubled;
neither let it be afraid" until peace rules in your heart Grace
flows within an environment of rest and peace.
