Dreams and Visions

Dear Friends,  

The other day I had a dream or a vision, I don't know which .  At first I was standing outside of a small shop in a very old town .  The sign outside read "Antiques" .  I went inside and overheard a conversation between the shopkeeper and his customer .  The shopkeeper said "Sir, I cannot sell this lantern for that price.  It is not worth that much and I cannot take your money."  The customer replied "This lantern is very special to me and  this is the price I want to pay".

Next I saw the customer from the shop at a workbench .  He was working on the little lantern .  Whereas before the little lantern had been very dirty and ugly, now it was polished and appeared to be made of gold .  The man was cleaning the glass face of the lantern and fixing the latch .  I caught my breath because the lantern had become so beautiful .  The man turned around to look at me, and it was Jesus !

Jesus smiled at me and said "Child, this lantern in some ways represents you to me .  You are so special to me, I paid a great price for you .  Because I paid such a high price I will never lose you, throw you away, or let anyone rob you from me."

Friend, Jesus paid the great price for all of us .  He does not respect one person more than another person .  He loves you just as much as He loves me. He would like to be your Savior and your friend .  Just ask Him, by praying this prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father, I want to live forever with you .  You sent your Son Jesus to earth to die for me so that I will live forever with You .  I accept Jesus as the Master of my life .  I ask Jesus to come right now to live within my heart .  I ask Jesus to teach me His way, God's way, of living .  I thank you for this wonderful Gift .

That is all there is to becoming God's child .  He will teach you His way of living .  You may see immediate, dramatic change in you life .  Other changes will be more subtle .  Every day for the rest of your life you will be changed to become more and more like God wants you to be .  

It is important that you read and study God's book, the Bible, to learn more about Jesus .  Now that you have accepted Jesus you will be able to read and understand this book .  Start by reading the New Testament portion of the Bible .  I recommend reading the book of John first, then the book of Acts, followed by the books following Acts .  All of the other sections of this Web site contain Bible teachings and direct quotations from the Bible .

It is important that you find a group of believers in Jesus and meet with them regularly .  These meetings must include teaching from the Bible and the worship of Jesus .  If the Bible is not read or if Jesus is not worshipped, find another group of believers to meet with .
