Identity - Who Are The People of God ?  Jesus as Man

Ephesians 1:3 ... who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings ...

This passage says that we are blessed by God.

Ephesians 1:4 ... he has chosen us in him before the foundation of the world...

This passage says that we are chosen by God.

Ephesians 1:4 ... that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

This passage says that we are to live holy and blameless in His sight.

Ephesians 1:6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he has made us accepted in the beloved.

This passage says that we are, through His grace, accepted in the beloved.

Ephesians 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood

This passage says that we are redeemed by His blood.

Ephesians 1:8 Wherein he has abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence.

This passage says that God has lavished us with wisdom and prudence.

Ephesians 1:11 ... predestined .. worked all things after the counsel of his own will.

This passage says that we are predestined to fulfill His will.

Ephesians 1:13 In whom your also trusted, ... you were sealed with that holy Spirit ...

This passage says that we are sealed by the Holy Spirit.

Ephesians 1:19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us ....

This passage says that we God gives us great power.

Ephesians 1:23 Which is his body, the fullness of him that fills all in all.

This passage says that we are His body, his representatives on earth.

Ephesians 2:5 Even when we were dead in sins, has quickened us together with Christ

This passage says that we are made alive again, saved by God’s grace.

Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, This passage says that we are remade by Christ, recreated to do good works.

Ephesians 2:19 Now therefore you are ..., but fellow citizens with the saints

This passage says that we share heavenly citizenship with the saints of God.

Ephesians 2:18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

This passage says that we have bold, confident access to God the Father via the Holy Spirit.

Ephesians 3:12 In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.

This passage says that Jesus gives us boldness and confidence by faith in Him.

Ephesians 3:19 And to know the love of Christ, which passes knowledge, that you might be filled with all the fullness of God.

This passage says that we filled to the fullness of God through the love of Christ.

Ephesians 4:2 .... With patience, forbearing one another in love;

This passage says that we are to love one another, other Christians, even those that may be hard to love.

Ephesians 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; prophets; evangelists; pastors, teachers;

Some members of the people of God are God’s gift to the rest of the body.

Ephesians 4:15 But speaking the truth in love, ...

Ephesians 4:25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth ...

These passage says that we are to speak the truth.

Ephesians 4:16 From whom the whole body joined together

This passage says that the people of God are joined and held together.

Ephesians 4:22 That your put off concerning the former conversation the old man, ..

This passage says that we are to repent and to change our ways.

Ephesians 4:28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labor ....

The people of God are to work for their living and not steal from others.

Ephesians 4:29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth ...

The people of God are to speak no foul language.

Ephesians 4:31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger ... be put away from you.

The people of God are to be meek, without bitterness or anger.

Ephesians 4:32 And be your kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another

The people of God are to be kind and forgiving of each other.

Deuteronomy 6:5 And you shall love the Master your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might.

The people of God shall love God with all their might.

Deuteronomy 6:7 And you shall teach them diligently unto your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lies down, and when you wake up.

The people of God shall teach the Word to their children.

Deuteronomy 6:13you shall fear the Master your God, and serve him, and shall swear by his name.

The people of God fear God and serve Him.

Deuteronomy 6:18 And you shall do that which is right and good in the sight of the Master: that it may be well with you, and that you may go in ....

The people of God are to do what is good and right.

Deuteronomy 6:20 And when your son asks you in time to come, saying, What mean the testimonies, and the statutes, and the judgments, which the Master our God has commanded you?

The people of God shall teach the Word to their children.

Deuteronomy 7:6 For you are an holy people unto the Master your God: the Master your God has chosen you to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.

The people of God are called to be set apart, a holy people unto the Master.

Deuteronomy 7:26 Neither shall you bring an abomination into your house, lest you be a cursed thing like it: but you shall utterly detest it, ...

The people of God are to have no idols in their house.

Deuteronomy 8:3 ... that he might make you know that man does not live by bread only, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of the Master ..

The people of God are to live by the word of God.

Deuteronomy 10:19 Love your therefore the stranger: for your were strangers in .. Egypt.

The people of God are to love the stranger and the traveller.

Deuteronomy 10:20 you shall fear the Master your God; him shall you serve, and to him shall you cleave, and swear by his name.

The people of God are to fear and to serve the Master.

Deuteronomy 11:19 And your shall teach them your children, speaking of them when you sit in your house, and when you walks by the way, when you lies down, and when you rises up.

The people of God are to teach God’s ways to their children.

Deuteronomy 15:11 For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command you, saying, you shall open your hand wide unto your brother, to your poor, and to your needy, in your land.

The people of God are to help the poor and needy.

Deuteronomy 16:19you shall not wrest judgment, you shall not respect persons, neither take a gift: for a gift blinds the eyes of the wise, and the words of the righteous.

The people of God will not give or take bribes.

Deuteronomy 16:20 That which is altogether just shall you follow ...

The people of God will follow the righteous.

Deuteronomy 18:13you shall be perfect with the Master your God.

The people of God will be perfect with the Master.

Deuteronomy 22:5 The woman shall not wear that which pertains unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination

The people of God will wear clothes reflective of their gender.

Deuteronomy 23:19 you shall not lend upon usury to your brother ...

The people of God will not lend money at extraordinary interest rates.

Deuteronomy 27:16 Cursed be he that sits light by his father or his mother...

The people of God will honor their parents.

Deuteronomy 30:2 And shall return unto the Master your God, and shall obey his voice according to all that I command you this day, you and your children ...

The people of God will obey God’s commandments.
